SPECIAL PACKETMAX BASE STATION AND CPE BUNDLE NOW EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 28, 2009

MILPITAS, CA (February 3, 2009) - Aperto® Networks, builder of the world's most versatile carrier-grade and cost-effective WiMAX Forum Certified™ base stations and subscriber units, announced today that it is extending its special introductory offer on the purchase of PacketMAX base stations and subscriber units to members of the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA) through February. The extension reflects increased demand for Aperto's license-exempt and lightly licensed products in North America.

Introduced earlier this month, Aperto's promotion lets WISPA members purchase one PacketMAX 3000 with five CPEs and get one day of complete on-site engineering support from an Aperto engineer, or purchase two PacketMAX 3000s with10 CPEs get two full days of support. These special offers give WISPA members two highly cost-effective ways to begin to offer "double play" wireless broadband services with the highest QoS on the market. "We are very pleased with the results we have achieved so far," said Brian Deutsch, President and CEO of Aperto Networks and WiMAX Forum Board Member. "By extending this offer, we are underscoring our commitment to the organization and the success of its members."

U.S. based Aperto is the only leading manufacturer in the world that is 100% focused on WiMAX. Well-known for its carrier-grade QoS and reliability, Aperto has also added extensive WiMAX-plus features to optimize PacketMAX specifically for "double play" voice and data WISP deployments in North America. For example, PacketMAX delivers latency of only 5 milliseconds and net packet rates that range from 15 thousand pps to more than 20 thousand pps-easily beating the performance of most competitive products.

"We really appreciate Aperto's support of our membership," commented Rick Harnish, president of the WISPA Board of Directors. "A cost-effective, carrier-grade "double play" solution like Aperto's PacketMAX solution really helps WISPs to quickly acquire customers and grow revenue."

The PacketMAX family of base stations and subscriber units deliver the critical elements required to extend wireless broadband services to a wide range of users-ranging from governments, large enterprises and public-sector organizations to multi-tenet buildings and residences-using a single, standards-based platform. It also supports the widest range of licensed and licensed-exempt frequencies in the world, including the 2.5 GHz, 3.3 GHz, 3.5 GHz, 4.9 GHz, 5.1 GHz, 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands.
