Companies will speak on growth, potential for unlicensed wireless

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Commerce
Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration
(NTIA) and U.S. Department of State's International Communications
and Information Policy (CIP) groups have convened the two-day
wireless technology showcase and policy discussion. The technology
exhibition on day one will provide policy-makers and members of
the public and news media an opportunity to witness live demonstrations
of cutting-edge wireless technologies and applications. The five
panel discussions on day two will focus on unlicensed wireless
technologies and allow technology innovators and entrepreneurs
the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with policy decision-makers.

What: Technology Showcase: Aperto Networks and TowerStream
will demonstrate the PacketWave® Point-to-Multipoint system
(base station & subscriber units). Key technologies such as
dynamic per-subscriber link optimization will be demonstrated. An
Internet connection will be used to demonstrate TowerStream's extensive
wireless access network in the Boston Metro area.

as well as Wi-Fi to Wireless Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) integration.
